Unilever Appoints Ambika Sivadoss as VP HR, Home Care, and Head of Talent for India

Unilever has elevated Ambika Sivadoss to Vice President HR for its Home Care business and Head of Talent for Unilever in India, reinforcing its strategic focus on leadership development and talent transformation in one of its key markets.

In her expanded dual role, Sivadoss will be responsible for leading the human resources agenda across Unilever’s Home Care division in India while also driving the company’s talent strategy nationwide. She will report directly to internal stakeholders aligned with both business unit and talent development priorities.

Sivadoss brings over two decades of experience within Unilever’s global ecosystem, having held several strategic HR leadership roles across markets including India, the UK, and Singapore. Most recently, she served as Global Director, Talent & Organization for Unilever’s Home Care category, after a successful stint as HR Head for South Asia’s Supply Chain and R&D divisions.

Her return to the Indian leadership team signals the company’s intent to sharpen its talent agenda amid growing opportunities in the home care sector, which continues to see strong demand following pandemic-related hygiene shifts and increasing consumer focus on health and wellness.

Industry professionals are likely to view the elevation as a strategic move to align HR leadership more closely with evolving category demands. Sivadoss is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Unilever India’s future workforce capabilities, particularly through her dual mandate combining operational HR leadership with long-term talent planning.

The personnel shift comes as Unilever continues to restructure and streamline its business operations globally, including sharpening local leadership structures to enhance agility and market responsiveness. With India being one of the FMCG major’s strongest growth markets, bringing experienced leadership into critical HR roles is likely to support talent optimization and strengthen succession planning.

Sivadoss is a graduate of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), one of India’s premier institutions for HR management, and is widely recognized for her expertise in organizational development and people strategies.
