Coca-Cola Beverages Florida Appoints New Chief Information Officer
Coca-Cola Beverages Florida (Coke Florida) has announced the appointment of David Cross as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), signaling the company’s commitment to enhancing its digital capabilities and operational technology. Cross brings with him over two decades of experience driving IT strategy and transformation across global organizations.
Before joining Coke Florida, Cross held executive roles at industry heavyweights such as Microsoft and Oracle. Most recently, he served as Head of IT Services at Cordis, a leading medical device manufacturer. There, he led efforts in transforming IT operations, establishing cybersecurity frameworks, and aligning digital tools to business goals—experience that aligns closely with Coke Florida’s growth trajectory and technological objectives.
In his new role, Cross will be responsible for overseeing Coke Florida’s information technology, innovation, and digital teams. He’ll steer the IT strategy to support end-to-end operations, from bottling to distribution, a critical function in the beverage manufacturer’s commitment to seamless and responsive supply chain management.
“David’s leadership will help further our mission of becoming the most customer-focused and technology-enabled Coca-Cola bottler in the nation,” said Troy Taylor, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Coke Florida. “His experience in successfully building high-performing IT teams and managing complex digital environments positions him to deliver transformative value to our business and customers.”
Coke Florida operates as an independent Coca-Cola bottler and is responsible for manufacturing, selling, and distributing Coca-Cola beverages across 47 counties in Florida, reaching over 21 million consumers. The company has continued investing in digital transformation as a competitive differentiator in a margin-sensitive FMCG landscape, where agility, real-time data, and automation are reshaping route-to-market strategies.
Cross’s appointment comes at a time when the FMCG sector is increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure to meet evolving consumer expectations and navigate supply chain complexities. Coke Florida’s emphasis on a tech-first operational approach underscores a broader trend among beverage and CPG companies prioritizing IT leadership to drive scalable growth.
