Coca-Cola Bottler Commits $75M to Fort Worth Plant Modernization

Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, the third-largest Coca-Cola bottler in the U.S., has launched a major $75 million expansion and modernization project at its Fort Worth production facility. The investment underscores the company’s long-term strategy to upgrade manufacturing capacity and enhance operational efficiency in a key regional hub.

The 300,000-square-foot plant, which opened in 2019, will see the addition of new high-speed production lines, advanced warehouse automation, and upgraded infrastructure to support increased output and distribution demands. The facility currently employs more than 750 workers and is responsible for producing over 100 beverage brands, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Smartwater, serving customers across Texas and parts of Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas.

Anthony Santiago, vice president and general manager of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages in Fort Worth, emphasized the central role of the city in the company’s regional logistics network. “This facility is one of our largest in the country and critical to our operations,” Santiago said. “We’re investing in Fort Worth because we know this community, its workforce, and its infrastructure can support our growth.”

The expansion, scheduled for completion in phases over the next several years, is expected to boost production efficiency and sustainability. Key upgrades include energy-efficient equipment and water-saving technologies that align with Coca-Cola’s broader environmental commitment to reduce its carbon footprint across global operations.

City of Fort Worth officials have welcomed the investment as a signal of continued economic confidence in the region. Economic Development Director Robert Sturns highlighted that the bottler’s expansion contributes to the city’s industrial base and supports high-quality employment opportunities.

The Fort Worth project reflects a broader trend in the FMCG sector, where beverage manufacturers are investing heavily in supply chain resilience and production agility to meet shifting consumer demand. With increased emphasis on sustainability, automation, and localized production, firms like Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages are strategically positioning themselves for long-term competitiveness in key U.S. markets.
